I am a SAHM. I live out in the Boondocks in the hills of Tennessee. I am married to a wonderful man. We have 4 dogs and 1 cat and own 5 acres. We have a 30 foot waterfall in our backyard. I have been actively walking this path for 2 yrs. though I have studied for several. I am not exactly sure what you'd call my path...I guess Eclectic tends to fit it best. I tend to be somewhat Agnostic...prefering to work with the energies themselves. I was raised in your typical Southern Baptist environment but rebelled about 10 yrs ago. I just got so sick of the hypocrisy of it all.

I like all kinds of music. I like Classical, Country, 80's music, Rock...you name it! Hmmm...not too terribly fond of Jazz though.
    Movies

I like pretty much any kind of movie except the teary-eyed, drama-filled, chick flicks.
TV Not much of a TV watcher, though I do enjoy Discovery Channel and The History Channel... and the Weather Channel...LOL! Can anyone say "Geek"? LOL...that is me!
Books I like my books like I like my movies. I will read just about anything that does not bore me to tears. I hate trying to read something that reads like an instruction manual.
Likes Laughing, my kids, candles, spending alone time with my husband, reading, napping, pretty things, being outside in complete solitude...just me, the wind and the trees.
Dislikes Cranky people, bossy attitudes, people who try to restrict my freedom to think and do as I please or try to make me feel stupid, winter, total disregard for our planet, doing laundry
Vices ugh! let's see...chocolate, smoking, day-dreaming when I should be doing other things, stubborn
Virtues Honesty, loyalty, dedicated to my friends and family, an open-mind
Heroes my grandparents..IMO the BEST people that ever drew a breath of air!

    Drawing Down the Moon

    Drawing Down The Moon
Source: Lady Isadora, The Priestess of the Pentacle

    Invocation The Goddess Speaks
HP: Be all at peace who enter here
Be all inspired who gather here
And let the child come from within
The child with face turned toward the moon
For though each wears a different face
And stands upon a different point in space
Here, in this circle of the moon
    Now, in this moment
    All are one
    All: All are one (2x)

HP: Lift your gaze and chant this rune
Goddess, come down from the moon

All: Goddess, come down from the moon

HP: Lift your arms and chant this rune
Goddess, come down from the moon

All: Goddess, come down from the moon

HP: Lift your hearts and chant this rune
Goddess, come down from the moon

All: Goddess, come down from the moon

HP: Speak with Her yet silently
    Joined in perfect harmony
I am the white rose at dawn
I am the moon and the seas
I am all that was, that is, that shall be
Nor has any mortal ever yet seen
That which lies beyond My veil
Do not look for Me too long in books
Though these may tell of me inspiringly
    Nor in tools and trappings
Though these may be beautiful and worthy symbols
Cherish these things, but do not be bound by them

Remember that the Art Magical is art
Alive and flowing and changing, unique unto each
Make of it a system, or a doctrine
And you will only find that I am indeed
    Mistress of Surprises

Gather in secret if you must
But do not tarry overlong behind closed doors
For it is in the richness of the earth
And the boundlessness if the sky
That my true temple is to be found
And the moon and sun and stars
    will keep your secrets

Look for Me within these things
But above all within your own soul
For it is there I am

    Let's see how this works

Sunday, February 4, 2007, 06:16 PM CST [General]

I am not 100% sure I like this blog format. It doesn't seem to be very user-friendly. I am not HTML savvy, I like being able to customize my fonts and I like color. Yeah....guess that makes me artsy-fartsy... LOL

Let's see how the pic thing works:

    Not too bad, I guess.

Eh...gotta play with it to learn it!
